Deborah Louise Ortiz is a native New Yorker born and raised in the Bronx. Deborah embarked as an actress in the world of theater as she began to chase her dream. Deborah has written several plays for the stage including 'DIRTY LAUNDRY" and "CHANGING VIOLET" for which awarded her a Best Actress Nomination.
Deborah also entered the world of film and television with several commercials and an extensive list of film roles.

Deborah’s passion to create more diverse and meaningful roles, especially for women, began her career as an actress, writer and producer for the NYC theatre stages and soon after Deborah produced several documentaries as a female filmmaker and made her directorial debut on the award-winning Code 9 Officer Needs Assistance.
